Maintenance
Leather Sofa Maintenance Tips:
-
Keep Away from Heat
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or placing the sofa near radiators to prevent damage to the leather.
-
Avoid Frequent Wiping
- Do not frequently wipe the leather surface with a wet cloth, especially not often. If you must clean, use a towel like those for washing hair or dishes, wrung out very dry, to gently remove dust and dirt.
-
Keep Away from Alcohol and Acidic or Alkaline Substances
- Do not use alcohol or acidic/alkaline substances to clean the leather, as even slight pressure can cause discoloration.
-
Prevent Scratches
- Be mindful of keys on your waistband, metal accessories on jeans, ballpoint pens, and ink pens, as they can easily scratch the leather sofa.
-
Do Not Place Against Walls
- Particularly in humid areas or during the rainy season in southern regions, avoid placing the sofa directly against walls to prevent layers from peeling off. Always maintain some distance from the wall.
-
Use Specialized Cleaning Products
- Keep a leather sofa-specific cleaning cream or dry cleaning paste at home for better cleaning results.
